CLARA COQUETTE
Clara Coquette
Clara Coquette is a New York City based burlesque performer, drag performer, producer, stage kitten, go-go dancer, and model who was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She is a vintage vixen, a nimble nerd, and a cunning chameleon. She moved to New York in 2009 and stumbled upon the glamorous, glittery, and geeky world of burlesque. She has trained at the New York School of Burlesque. Clara made her performing debut in 2011 and has been balancing burlesque with her full time career in science ever since. Born out of a test tube of sparkle and spunk, the delicate darling of beakers and bunsen burners. She'll transport you back in time, the Clara Bow of Burlesque: Clara Coquette.
Clara Coquette is also trained as a drag performer. She has trained under Crimson Kitty at the LadyQueen University. Clara is also known under her drag king name, Clarq (pronounced Clark) Coquette. Clarq Coquette trained under Goldie Peacock at Drag King 101. Clara and Clarq have performed drag at such shows as Switch N Play, White Elephant Burlesque, BEEF show, LadyQueen Dragucation Showcase, and The Monarchs.
